How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Hat Size

1. Get Your Tools:

  • Grab a flexible tape measure or a length of string.
  • You’ll need a mirror (optional but helpful).

2. Position the Tape Measure:

  • Stand in front of the mirror (if available).
  • Place the tape measure:
    • Above Your Ear: About 1/8" (or 0.3 cm) above your ear.
    • Across Your Mid-Forehead: Right in the middle of your forehead.
    • Circling Your Head: Wrap the tape around your head where the hat will sit.

3. Measure Your Head:

  • Keep the tape:
    • Level: Parallel to the ground.
    • Straight: Don’t tilt it up or down.
  • Hold it firmly but comfortably—no need to pull too tight.

4. Record the Measurement:

  • Note the circumference of your head in either:
    • Centimeters (cm): Commonly used in Europe (typically ranging from 52 to 64 cm).
    • Inches: If you prefer the imperial system (1 inch = 2.54 cm).

5. Between Sizes?

  • If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the next largest size for the best fit.
