How to Measure Your Head for the Perfect Hat Size
1. Get Your Tools:
- Grab a flexible tape measure or a length of string.
- You’ll need a mirror (optional but helpful).
2. Position the Tape Measure:
- Stand in front of the mirror (if available).
- Place the tape measure:
-
Above Your Ear: About 1/8" (or 0.3 cm) above your ear.
-
Across Your Mid-Forehead: Right in the middle of your forehead.
-
Circling Your Head: Wrap the tape around your head where the hat will sit.
3. Measure Your Head:
- Keep the tape:
-
Level: Parallel to the ground.
-
Straight: Don’t tilt it up or down.
- Hold it firmly but comfortably—no need to pull too tight.
4. Record the Measurement:
- Note the circumference of your head in either:
-
Centimeters (cm): Commonly used in Europe (typically ranging from 52 to 64 cm).
-
Inches: If you prefer the imperial system (1 inch = 2.54 cm).
5. Between Sizes?
- If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the next largest size for the best fit.
